a. Northrop Grumman, Prime Contractor
Contract No. HST04-08-F-CT8107
Subcontract No. 7500042134 Contract Amount: $350,000
TG O’Brien provides human systems integration (HSI) testing and evaluation (T&E)
support to Northrop’s Test and Evaluation Support Services (TESS) program to the
Transportation Security Administration (TSA)’s Office of Security Technology. In
addition to HSI T&E support, TG O’Brien provides technical advice to the
Northrop team on generalized test planning, analysis, and reporting.
Additionally, TGO provides expert advice on the development of a T&E Guide
Testing & Evaluation Guide for TSA management and its T&E support contractors.
Testing and evaluation includes new passenger screening technologies, processes,
and procedures. A major HSI test tool is the generation and application of
passenger and TSA Security Officer (TSO) surveys; survey administration, data
collection, analysis and reporting are included based on Handbook of Human
Factors Testing & Evaluation (Charlton & O’Brien, 2002). The HSI T&E is based on
TG O’Brien generated test program elements from its former contract with Vic
Thompson Company, to include examination of the seven elements of MANPRINT.
These include manpower, personnel, training, human factors engineering, system
safety, health hazards, and personnel survivability. TG O’Brien has produced
several HSI Assessment reports focusing on HSI issues relative to various
passenger and cargo screening systems deployed at US airports and other
transportation sites.
